a big dose of self-compassion

liz lamoreux

I've been looking for a necklace to honor the self-compassion and self-love we need to support us in the beauty and the grit we experience each day. Something that I could wear that would actually feel like a huge dose of love. Something I could hold onto in those moments when I take my five deep breaths. Something large enough that I'd be basically saying to myself, "I'm not kidding. I'm inviting in love and deep, wide self-compassion today."

And I found exactly what I wanted in these large rose quartz gemstones.

They symbolize the hug you need in the middle of your day, the compassion you can extend to yourself just by noticing what you need, the wisdom that rests around your heart that is just waiting for you.

My hope is that as you wear your rose quartz necklace, you will feel loved and remember that you're not alone.

Each of these stones is very unique. They're sitting in a bowl on my studio altar right now soaking up some love. It makes me so happy to think about the people who will order them. I will hold their name in my mind as I choose one just for them.

I love this job.

a sea glass altar

the sea glass altar

Adorned with pearls and gemstones, this necklace includes a locket that holds a handful of sea glass Ellie and I found at North Beach in Port Townsend, Washington. This is one of my new favorite offerings from the Where the Forest Meets the Sea Collection. I think of it like a wearable altar because the locket is thick enough that it can hold sacred treasures that you want to carry with you, so you can put a small feather or note or other treasure inside it right next to the sea glass.

I chose these pearls to connect you to the sea, several sizes and shapes of aquamarine to connect you to the courage and peace within you, and kyanite is included to support you in speaking your truth when you need to.

There's just one available right now, but when it sells out, if you'd like me to create a custom sea glass altar necklace for you, I'm happy to make one. Just get in touch.

A few lines from the essay I wrote that inspires the pieces I add to this collection:

I come to the sea to let go of what no longer serves me as I ask her to take pieces of grief and all that will not be out with the tide. I imagine all of it tumbling with shell fragments and driftwood until it entwines with the seaweed that sways farther than I can see.

I come to the sea to remember me…

You can find the sea glass altar necklace and others from this collection in my new shop.

grand opening celebration

liz lamoreux

I'm so excited to share that the Soul Mantras have a new home: www.soulmantras.com!

Everything about this new site makes me so happy! The photos are big! It is easy to navigate to other sections of the shop and see all the bracelets at once and then all the earrings and the stickers and the pocket talismans. And customizing your Soul Mantra is now so easy. I'm seriously in love.

In the Limited Edition section, you'll see a handful of new necklaces from the Where the Forest Meets the Sea Collection, which is full of pieces that remind me of my adventures along the Pacific Northwest coast. And after lots of requests, there's also a new layered listing from the 1993 Collection.

To celebrate this grand opening, all orders placed today on the new site, Monday, October 27, will receive a free pocket talisman (up until midnight PST tonight). No coupon code needed for the talisman. I'll just choose one for you and wrap it up with love and slip it in with your order.

Thank you so much for your continued support of my shop! My Etsy shop will remain open at least through the holidays and the first few months of next year, but any new items and new collections will be listed on the new website. This feels like such a huge move for me and I'm so grateful to be able to celebrate with you!

Blessings and light,
Liz

the inhale love, exhale peace necklace

I'm going to share more stories behind the jewelry in my shop. I've been having so much fun with gemstones and how the stories they carry become representive of ours. The gemstones are becoming their own Soul Mantras, and this makes me so happy.

One of my favorite simple but profound meditations is this one:

This necklace is your reminder to connect to that meditation - to the peace, compassion, and love within and around you. And to, when it feels right, send that goodness into the world each day.

An amethyst gemstone is used to promote peace, rose quartz is used to support love and compassion, and clear quartz is used to help support you as you give these gifts to yourself and the world.

You can find it here in my shop.

the soul mantra fall collection

liz lamoreux

I'm so excited to share the new Fall Collection with you! It's filled with talismans to support you as you make your way in this beautiful, messy world we live in. There are more gemstones and new pendant designs and a new bracelet design that has become my daily piece over here.

Here's a peek at a few of the new pieces.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be sharing stories behind the designs and the words I used for this collection. You can see all the designs right here.

Thank you so much for your support as I keep growing. So grateful for you.

Yes.

Thank you.

Blessings and love,

Liz

PS And isn't my model gorgeous? That's my studio assistant Bonnie. She helps me in the studio (read this as listens to my neverending rambling ideas) and is the one who gets your packages into your hands so quickly.

new in the shop

liz lamoreux

I've been adding a few new Soul Mantras to the shop. First up is this feather bracelet. For months, Bonnie (my studio assistant) and I have been dreaming of a bracelet made with this huge feather. We finally made it happen. It comes in three sizes so it will be sure to fit your wrist. It includes a quartz crystal bead to promote clarity and all around daily support.

I've also paired the large feather with a stack of three raw fluorite gemstones. The colors make me so happy! You can find it right here. You can actually wear this necklace three ways because you can easily take the feather or the fluorite off of the chain and wear them individually (or add them to other Soul Mantra necklaces).

These fluorite drops are all a bit different and range in color from light blue to swirls of purple and green. Just a few of these left.

A new batch of key necklaces is also in the shop. All these vintage keys are from an antique store in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Ellie and I found them while we were visiting my mom this spring. Love sending out these pieces of Midwest history. Each one is a little bit different and some even include numbers (each individual description indicates this). They are paired with a brass Soul Mantra that says "open up and live" and a kyanite gemstone to help you speak your truth.

And we have more Sleepy Moon earrings available. I wear mine just about every day.

And for the first time since opening my shop seven years ago, I'm already dreaming up the collections I'll be sharing for fall and winter. The plan is to add more gemstones and a few other good things. Thank you so much for supporting my shop so that I can live these dreams and share my message in this concrete way that puts love from my studio right into your hands.

Love and light,
Liz

the 1993 collection is back!

liz lamoreux

For the last few weeks, I've been stringing beads in the evenings, creating a small gathering of necklaces so I could bring back the 1993 Collection. Something tells me I'll be doing this most evenings this summer, because I just can't stop myself. I love these colors! And this time, I've added some gemstones to a few to add another layer of intention for these Soul Mantras.

Here's the story behind this collection:

When I was in high school, I listened to Lenny Kravitz sing "Flower Child" on repeat, longing to be that girl "dressed in purple velvet with a flower in her hair" who "speaks of liberation on the land and on the sea" living on the West Coast and standing up for what I believed in. Even when I was wearing my boarding school uniform of plaid kilt and button down white Oxford, I wore layers of beaded necklaces that I made sitting cross-legged by the lake behind my dorm. And then in the summer when at home, I'd add a few more layers on my wrists and ankles.

Recently I unearthed these beads in my studio and decided to play with them again after an almost 20-year break. And as I listen to Lenny and Mumford & Sons and Paul Simon and string bead after bead, I'm spending a little time with my 17-year-old self and remembering her dreams and realizing that she would be very proud of me and where I am as I tell the true stories over here in my corner of the world.

The 1993 Collection is filled with the energy of summer and mixed tapes and afternoons full of hope and secret dreams and the belief that one girl just might make a difference in the world. As you wear your necklace from the 1993 collection, I hope you will reconnect and listen to those secret dreams inside you.
